BodyBuilding Competitions

Entering a bodybuilding competition is accomplished by focused and educated weight training with a suitable supporting diet. It is unfortunate though that this wonderful sport has a great deal of misinformation and myths to contend with.

Most of the experts would agree that to have an amazing body you have to follow a body building diet suitable to your own personal requirements, because we are all different and we all need different things.

Bodybuilding supplements for instance are different for each person, and firstly you must realize that bodybuilding is a serious undertaking, it is better to consult and work with an expert trainer if you want to do it correctly, no supplements that can replace your trainer.

You'll find that you will have to do a lot of research about diets and what foods are best for you to achieve the best results. I would recommend following the natural bodybuilding way, it is okay to use some basic supplements such as protein but would never endorse the chemical variety. Not only is it dangerous but if you are caught in a bodybuilding competition you will be banned and your reputation marred forever.

So supplements are not your magic key to bodybuilding success, natural bodybuilers shy away from these ways and shun the artificial substances that some would use, the supporters of natural bodybuilding would agree that the best and most effective results are obtained from a combination of a strong program coupled with supportive supplements, recommended nutritional values and a varied but intelligently researched diet.

The end result should be an awesome body that is the result of a natural bodybuilding campaign and staying healthy as possible in getting there. You'll also find that you will have a healthier and stronger mind due to the discipline and focus required get these results.

Entering a bodybuilding competition is no walk in the park either, that in itself is something that requires training of its own. There are skills to be learned and a great deal of practice is required to be effective when displaying your results. This also is an area where an experienced trainer can help, someone who has experienced personal success in the bodybuilding competition arena.

The bodybuilding competition itself can be a stressful and intense event, but the resulting successful conclusion is hard to beat, there is a lot of internal politics and manipulation that you will have to deal with and as noted above your personal trainer will include support throughout this time. When all is said and done though it is something that can be extremely rewarding.

Entering A Body Building Competition

Being in a figure competition must be great, competitors being judged on the symmetry of their muscular frame and tone. Presenting themselves with a series of routines that show their bodies in the best possible way, highlighting the strengths and trying to undermine or lessen their weaknesses.

Typically a figure competition would be constructed of different rounds such as the swimsuit and structured presentation plus an open routine section. To the most well-known contests are the fitness international and the fitness Olympia, these contests would epitomize the peak and showcase the best bodybuilding / bigger competitors.

The figure competitions do not emphasize muscle size focus on the overall symmetry and tone, aesthetic qualities like hair, makeup, skin, clothing as well as grace during their performance. It moves on to a more critical examination of the body later in the round where judges would look at how feminine and how athletic their bodies present. They are shown in groups and individually and there are many criteria that the judges use when making their decisions.

A typical training time frame for one of these competitors would be a six-day week plus one day of rest. It not only consists of weight training but cardio session as well, this training would be ongoing even during the off-season.

You can also take part in couples competitions, this is very useful for couples who share the same sport. Constant participation in competitions hones the skills and plays an important part in their success. It is rare for a competitor to turn up at a competition who is an experienced in the arena to succeed straightaway, it may take a few seasons before winning.

The figure competitor may get incredibly frustrated with this process if they are serious, but persistence will pay off eventually, setting small goals for themselves would really help, and instead of jumping onto the national stage it would be wise to spend a few seasons honing them selves before jumping in. After participating in each and every show they will find small improvements in their presentation skills. The best advice you could receive from someone experienced would be to try and learn to love the process.
